All About the Stylists!

JOELLE MCCARTER, Owner, has been a licensed stylist since 1989. She attended Cosmetology School while in high school. Directly after she attended a 2 year assistant program in a very high end salon in Washington state. This is where she became a "chemical tech" focusing on color and trendy techniques. Years later she relocated to San Diego, CA. This is where she attended advanced training at the Toni and Guy Academy in Long Beach, CA.

After moving to Holly Ridge, NC from San Diego, CA, she decided the only way to achieve her goals is to open her own salon.

Healthy hair is achieved by using salon quality products. This is the reason she has chosen to carry MOP - Modern Organic Product. This is where the name MOPHEADS Hair Salon originated.

KATIE HERRING has recently joined Joelle as her partner, thus making her Owner as well. Katie has been a licensed stylist for 5 years. She has an incredible knack for just knowing what the client wants/needs. Katie has studied with high end Bumble and Bumble while she was residing in Arizona.

Our Mission and Goal is to create a warm, welcome, inviting environment where you can receive the best hair care possible. We are also offering our services at an affordable price during these economic hardships. We offer precision cuts and color with EXTRAS - a complimentary glosser or may be a complimentary parafin wax on your hands. All while enjoying a warm cup of coffee/tea or a glass of wine!

We also offer our referral program to save you money. If you send us 3 clients, you will receive 1 complimentary haircut.
